Filling of knots or voids using wood filler, resin, or other materials is optional and entirely at the client’s discretion. Extensive sanding, surface preparation, filling (if desired), and the application of a protective finish are the responsibility of the client. This option is best suited to customers who have the tools, experience, and time to complete the finishing process themselves. It is ideal for hands-on individuals looking to fully customise their worktop from scratch, save on finishing costs, and create a truly unique piece tailored to their space.

Sanded Rustic Oak Worktop

Our sanded rustic oak worktops come fully sanded and ready for the application of your preferred finish. This option saves you time and effort on preparation, delivering a smooth, uniform surface that is ready to be tailored to your specific needs.

The sanded finish is also ideal if your rustic oak worktop requires cutouts.  Once all cutouts are completed, you can then apply the finish of your choice on-site. This approach will help prevent any inconsistencies in colour around the cutout areas, ensuring a seamless, uniform appearance throughout.

Important Note about Rustic Oak Worktops That Require Cut-Outs or Size Adjustments: If cut-outs or size adjustments are required on site, choose between an unsanded or sanded rustic oak worktop. The protective finish should be applied only after all alterations are complete.
