Any open knots or natural voids will need to be filled if you choose to do so, followed by extensive sanding and finishing. This is a true blank canvas that offers considerable cost savings, but it is best suited to those prepared to undertake substantial additional work.

• Sanded Oak Bar – Delivered fully sanded and prepped for finishing. This option ensures an oak bar smooth surface ready for on-site cutouts and final coats, giving a consistent, professional result.

• Finished Oak Bar – Fully finished in-house with your chosen protective treatment:

  • Oak Bar in Oil Finish – Enhances the natural warmth of oak while nourishing the wood from within; requires regular re-application and sanding between coats, has natural sheen

  • Oak Bar in Lacquer Finish – Provides a clear, matt coating that protects while preserving the lighter tones of the oak

Note: If your oak bar requires on-site cutouts, we recommend ordering it in a sanded state to maintain uniformity in colour and texture.
