Oak Bar Table – Wooden Bar Tables by Earthy Timber

Wooden Bar Tables for Restaurants, Bars & Hospitality Spaces. Custom-Made Oak Bar Tables by Earthy Timber

At Earthy Timber, we manufacture to order commercial-grade wooden bar tables designed to meet the everyday demands of restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, and public venues. Each wooden bar table top is crafted from full stave, wide plank oak or walnut – milled, vacuum kiln dried, planed, shaped, and finished entirely in-house. These are solid oak wooden bar tables that combine strength, low-maintenance performance, and design flexibility with the natural beauty of timber.

Our oak wooden bar tables are ideal for high-traffic bars and restaurants. They are engineered to last, built to your exact layout, size, and functional requirements, and make the perfect companions to our bespoke oak bar tops, oak shelves, or oak window sills.

Wooden Bar Tables – Built for Commercial Use – Strength, Durability & Performance

Unlike veneered, laminated, or narrow-strip oak bar table tops, Earthy Timber’s solid wooden bar tables are built from full-length, wide stave oak planks, kiln dried in-house to precise moisture content, making them highly resistant to impact, moisture fluctuations, and wear. Our commercial durability solid wooden bar tables are visually stunning, structurally stable and capable of handling high usage over time without degrading in appearance or function.

Every wooden bar table top is made from carefully selected salvaged oak that we kiln dry in-house to under 10% moisture content. This reduces the risk of twisting, swelling, warping, or splitting once installed in a heated, busy space. The solid wooden oak bar table maintains structural integrity even with heavy footfall, regular cleaning, and temperature variation – essential in a busy venue.

Solid Wooden Bar Tables Handcrafted from Vacuum Kiln Dried Oak

One of the hallmarks of an Earthy Timber solid wooden oak bar table is its exceptional durability. We kiln dry all of our timber in-house, unlike many other craftsmen who rely on pre-dried wood from large-scale processors. Our careful wood drying process in small batches reduces the moisture content consistently to below 10%, ensuring the wood remains stable and resistant to warping, twisting, infestation or cracking over time. Our meticulous attention to moisture control in timber guarantees that your wooden bar table will withstand daily use for years to come.

Crafted from Tree to Oak Bar Table under Earthy Timber Roof

From the moment we source the salvaged oak tree to milling, vaccum kiln drying, planing, and the final crafting of your solid wooden bar table, the entire process happens under Earthy Timber roof. This level of control allows us to oversee every detail of your handcrafted wooden bar table, ensuring the highest quality at each stage of production. Our commitment to craftsmanship means that your oak bar table is not only beautifully designed but also built to last.

Custom Size Wooden Bar Tables and Configurations for any Commercial Layout

We make each oak bar table to measure, based on your exact requirements – no prefabricated sizing. This ensures your wooden bar tables are designed to fit your space from the start, reducing waste and avoiding complex on-site adjustments.

You may choose to order smaller size oak bar tables that, when placed together, form one cohesive large wooden bar table. This modular approach allows for flexible use – arrange the oak bar tables as individual seating for two or four during daily service, then combine them to accommodate larger groups or events.

Wooden bar tables can also be configured into L-shaped or U-shaped arrangements for communal dining, bar seating, or business meetings. This setup gives you the freedom to adapt the space as needed, without compromising on style, function, or visual continuity.

Wooden Bar Table Edge Profiles & Style Options for Practical Use

At Earthy Timber, wood bar table customisation goes beyond just shape and size. All oak bar tables can be finished with a choice of edge profiles. These help define the look of your space and improve usability depending on the setting.

  • Square Edge Wooden Bar Table – Clean, sharp, and modern design oak bar table, ideal for minimalist bars or spaces where multiple pieces need to align seamlessly. Hand-softened edges maintain a crisp aesthetic while ensuring a smooth, comfortable touch.

  • Chamfered Edge Wooden Bar Table – Slightly softened by hand or machined profile, modern appearance wooden bar table smooth to touch

  • Live Edge Wooden Bar Table – Natural tree edge authentically preserved and hand‑softened, with rich, earthy timber tones and visible grain character. Each oak bar table top is one‑of‑a‑kind, sculpted by nature yet refined by artisan handwork – ideal for rustic, artisan or high‑end casual venues.

  • Mixed Edge Wooden Bar Table – Combines live edge and straight edge profile, offering a unique design that brings together the organic feel or raw wood with the clean lines of contemporary carpentry . This versatile edge style delivers a rustic-modern oak bar table aesthetic, ideal for modern bars that need a touch of warmth, or for rustic interiors looking for a subtle modern accent. The combination of textures creates a visually striking yet practical surface, suitable for both everyday use and design-conscious commercial environments. A popular choice for venues seeking character without compromising on refinement.

Wooden Bar Table with Artistic Resin Infill

Our oak bar tables offer unique design enhancements, such as resin infill, which is offered as standard at Earthy Timber. This feature fills knots, cracks, and natural voids in the wood with epoxy resin, transforming what might traditionally be seen as imperfections into striking, artistic elements.

Resin infill not only enhances the wooden bar table’s visual appeal but also provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface, making it a perfect combination of practicality and design.

In some cases, certain natural features may be intentionally left open if they contribute to the overall visual interest without affecting the structural integrity of the oak bar table, preserving the authentic charm and individuality of the timber.

Wooden Bar Table with Organic Fillers – 100% Natural Finish

For clients seeking a fully natural wooden bar table, our organic filler solution offers a practical and eco-conscious alternative to resin. Instead of using epoxy, we may fill natural voids, knots, or cracks with wood-based or mineral fillers, preserving the authenticity of the oak while ensuring the surface remains functional and easy to maintain.

This method allows us to stabilise the timber where needed without introducing any synthetic or man-made materials, making it ideal for organic interiors, sustainability-focused projects, or environments where natural purity is a priority.

Both resin infill and organic options are valid – this is simply the right choice for those preferring a raw, unprocessed aesthetic of the wooden bar table.

Custom Height Wooden Bar Table

At Earthy Timber, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all, especially when it comes to wooden bar table’s height. Unlike standard, store-bought options, our custom height oak bar tables are crafted specifically to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re adjusting to existing furniture or need a wooden bar table that perfectly suits bar stool height – we can produce the wooden bar table at the exact height you require for maximum comfort and usability.

Our custom metal bases are precisely designed and produced in-house to complement your wooden bar table top’s dimensions. These sturdy bases ensure your oak bar table remains stable while allowing easy movement or reconfiguration within your space.

Zero Waste, Full Control – Timber from Our Own Wood Yard

At Earthy Timber, we are not dependent on third-party timber merchants. We maintain our own extensive stock of responsibly sourced, salvaged wood, giving us full control over quality, origin, and sustainability. Our oak is sourced from wind-felled trees, trees removed for health and safety reasons, felled as part of responsible woodland management on private estates and conservation sites across the UK and Europe.

Each trunk is processed entirely in-house – from milling and vacuum kiln drying, to the final finish – ensuring that timber which might otherwise go to waste is given a new life as part of your oak bar table project. This hands-on approach allows us to provide a fully traceable product, with no unknowns and complete transparency at every stage.

Because we control the process from log to finished wooden bar table, we can also ensure consistent grain, colour tone, and quality across multiple oak bar tables, perfect for clients ordering a full set of wooden bar tables, wooden countertops, wooden shelving, or matching wooden benches

Our eco-conscious approach means that each oak bar table is not only beautiful and built to last, but also a responsible choice for the environment. Earthy Timber’s commitment to zero-waste, sustainable design supports today’s green living values – making your wooden bar table as ethical as it is elegant.

This edge style showcases the wood’s natural contours, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece that highlights the character of the material.

Please note wood edges opposite to the grain direction (usually short sides, described as width (depth) of the top are always square.

Countertop Width (Depth) Considerations:

– On average, the width of a live edge countertop can fluctuate within a 100mm range, depending on the natural shape of the tree, so please ensure you take this into account when specifing the countertop’s width.

– If your countertop has specific width (depth) restrictions, please provide the minimum and/or maximum acceptable width when placing your order [in notes to the order]

– Without specified restrictions, we embrace the natural flow of the live edge, which may lead to variations in width throughout the surface

– We may refine (square) certain areas of the live edge to enhance usability while maintaining the wood’s organic beauty

– When quoting/placing an order, the width provided in the quotation/order should reflect the average measurement you’d like your edge to oscillate around

A fusion of natural and structured design, the part live, part square edge countertop offers the best of both worlds. This style features a combination of live edge and straight edges along the same side, blending organic and clean lines in a harmonious way.

– Please specify your minimum and maximum width (depth) requirements when ordering if such restrictions exist [in notes to the order]

– If no restrictions are provided, we will allow the part live part square edge to flow naturally while ensuring functionality

– Certain natural curves and protrusions may be subtly adjusted to achieve the best balance of aesthetics and practicality

– When quoting/placing an order, the width provided in the quotation /order should reflect the average measurement you’d like your edge to oscillate around

Important Information about Dimensions & Natural Variations

Every solid salvaged wood countertop is individually handcrafted from carefully selected timber planks. Because every tree is unique, we do not simply manufacture to a fixed size – we carefully select the combination of boards that will create the most beautiful and visually balanced finished piece while working as close as possible to your requested dimensions.

In some cases, this may mean your countertop is manufactured slightly longer and/or wider than the dimensions requested. This is intentional and allows us to preserve the natural proportions, character, and visual impact of the timber. A small degree of oversizing is a normal part of the bespoke manufacturing process and should not be regarded as a defect.

If your project has strict dimensional requirements – for example, where the countertop must fit precisely between walls, inside a recess, or against existing cabinetry – you must let us know by adding a note in the Notes to Order section when placing your order. Please specify your minimum and/or maximum acceptable dimensions, or clearly state if the dimensions must be exact. If no such instructions are provided, we will assume there is reasonable dimensional flexibility and will manufacture your countertop as close as possible to your requested dimensions while selecting the most suitable timber to achieve the best overall visual result.

If you choose a live edge or part live edge countertop, please remember that the width will naturally fluctuate along its length, following the original profile of the tree. These natural variations are one of the defining features of genuine live edge timber and are what make every piece completely unique.

If your live edge or part live edge project is restricted by width, you must specify the minimum and/or maximum acceptable width in the Notes to Order when placing your order. If no width restrictions are provided, we will assume you are happy for us to determine the final width, prioritising the natural shape of the timber and the overall visual impact of your live edge or part live edge piece, while keeping the finished countertop as close as possible to your requested size.

Finishing Options for Solid Wood Countertops

Unfinished (Raw) – This is our most cost-effective option and represents a natural stage in the countertop’s craftsmanship journey. The unfinished wooden countertop is produced to the same high structural and material standards as all of our finished pieces and is delivered in a completely unfinished state that requires substantial additional work before installation and use.

Delivered unsanded and untreated, this option features open knots, fissures, and natural voids, along with unfinished, non-smooth edges. As this timber is sourced from salvaged trees, these characteristics are to be expected and form part of its rustic charm.

Any filling of knots or voids –  using wood filler, resin, or alternative materials – is entirely at the client’s discretion and should be guided by personal aesthetic preference and intended use. Some clients choose to retain the open features to preserve the timber’s natural, rustic character, while others prefer a smoother, more uniform surface. Extensive sanding, surface preparation, filling (if desired), and the application of a protective finish are all the responsibility of the client. This worktop is not suitable for immediate use upon delivery.

This option is best suited to customers who have the tools, experience, and time to complete the finishing process themselves. It is ideal for hands-on individuals looking to fully customise their solid wood countertop from scratch, save on finishing costs, and create a truly unique piece tailored to their space.

Please note: tables and desks are only available as fully finished, fully protected products.

Fine Sanding Only (Ready for application of the protective finish of your choice) – Offered at a modestly higher cost than our raw (unfinished) option, the sanded countertop is supplied with a fully sanded, smooth surface that is ready for immediate application of the protective finish of your choice. Prominent natural features are professionally filled using resin or organic fillers to enhance visual appearance while preserving the wood’s natural character. Select features may be intentionally left open where they contribute to the piece’s overall aesthetic and natural charm. This option significantly reduces preparation time and is ideal for clients seeking a refined, semi-finished surface without the labour associated with full raw preparation.

Important note for the countertops that require on-site modifications – if your countertop requires on-site size adjustments or cutouts, you should choose either ‘unfinished’ or ‘sanded only’ option. This is because any pre-applied protective finish will be disrupted during your modifications, resulting in visible inconsistencies. If a pre-finished countertop is cut or altered on-site, the newly exposed, and treated by you areas, will not perfectly match the rest of the surface, leading to noticeable patchiness. To ensure a smooth, even finish, we recommend completing all size adjustments and/or cutouts first, then applying the protective treatment of your choice to the entire surface for a flawless result.

Professional Finishing – if  you want to receive your solid wood countertop ready to be used immediately (please note this option is only suitable for countertops that do not require on-site cut-outs or size adjustments), our in-house finishing service is the right choice. We offer 3 protective finishing options. Our natural oil finish enhances the wood’s natural depth and autumnal tones by penetrating deeper layers of timber. If you prefer to maintain the original light tones and textures, our transparent matt lacquer finish forms a barrier against damage without altering the wood’s natural appearance. For additional durability, you can also upgrade l to our signature, maintenance free waterproof protection (additional costs apply).

Fine sanding + subtle sheen oil

The unique properties of oil gradually enrich the wood’s grain, deepening its natural hues and enhancing its warm, autumnal tones.  As the oil penetrates the deeper layers of the solid wood countertop, it creates a protective effect that helps prevent damage even as the top layer naturally fades over time.

One of the key advantages of an oil finish is its easy maintenance – surface imperfections can be repaired with sanding and fresh re-application. However, oil-finished surfaces are more prone to marking from liquids, making them less suitable for kitchens, bathrooms or utility rooms.

To keep your solid wood countertop nourished and looking its best, regular re-oiling with light sanding between the coats is essential. This finish is ideal for those who appreciate the natural beauty of wood and don’t mind the upkeep required to maintain its charm.

Please note that an oil finish naturally has a subtle sheen and may bring out slightly orangey undertones in the wood – particularly in lighter species such as oak, ash, or elm.

Fine sanding + matt lacquer

Our matt lacquer finish offers natural look while providing a low-maintenance protection for solid wood countertops. As a cost-effective, water-resistant solution, it is ideal for surfaces exposed to moisture, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms, as well as solid wood tables and breakfast bars.

We offer our lacquer in a matt finish as standard, unless a gloss finish is specifically requested. However, we would advise against opting for gloss finish – it tends to highlight every mark and scratch, making it a less forgiving choice over time.

Unlike oil, which deepens the wood’s tones, matt lacquer preserves the wood’s original colour palette while adding a transparent protective layer. The matt finish not only enhances the wood’s natural beauty but also helps conceal scratches and marks, making it a practical choice for everyday use.

Fine sandding + waterproof protection + oil / lacquer – matt finish effect

live edge oak desktop by earthy timber waterproof wood protection

Our exclusive, no-maintenance waterproof protection, developed in-house by Earthy Timber, is applied in a vacuum environment –  a process unavailable anywhere else. This cutting-edge treatment provides the highest level of resistance against scratches, stains, and moisture while preserving the natural beauty and tactile feel of your solid wood countertop.

Designed for heavy-use surfaces such as dining tables and bathroom countertops, this advanced finish is highly resistant to water, heat, alcohol, and food acids. It also features a non-yellowing, UV-protected formula, ensuring your countertop remains flawless for years without the need for reapplication.

With its matt finish, Earthy Timber’s waterproof protection amplifies the wood’s natural grain and tones, adding depth while maintaining its organic beauty. Unlike glossy finishes that may alter the timber’s appearance, our waterproof treatment enhances the wood’s character in a subtle, authentic way.

For those seeking the ultimate protection with zero maintenance, this premium finish is available upon request for an additional cost. To add it to your order, please email us.
