About Our Reclaimed Wooden Dresser Tops
Our unique and modern reclaimed wooden dresser tops are designed and hand-crafted in-house from our timber yard and workshop in Plumpton Green, Sussex. Our beautiful and bespoke reclaimed dresser tops are guaranteed to add a quirky and artistic appeal to your home and are most suitable for modern and contemporary homes.
We craft each stunning and bespoke reclaimed wooden dresser top from offcuts and remnants of our English hardwood slabs. We then infuse each offcut together using epoxy resin to create the quirky reclaimed style. We exclusively source our hardwood planks from sustainable forests and woodlands across the UK, we then vacuum kiln dry the timber in-house to ensure stability and protection from warping and disfiguration and hand pick each segment looking at its beautiful characteristics such as the cracks, voids, knots and striations. We then infill these imperfections with epoxy resin to create a smooth glassy surface with frozen nature like segments.
Our stunning reclaimed wooden dresser tops are available with a variety of edging types, each with their own style. For a more modern and contemporary approach, we can offer the traditional straight square edging, or for a more natural and rustic appeal, we can offer our live or waney edging style. Alternatively, we for amore subdued option to the waney edging, we can offer our mixed edging which combines both edging styles.
Our stunning reclaimed wooden dresser tops are ideal for all types of environments, whether it be a rural and rustic styled cottage in the country or a modern and contemporary apartment in the city. With the right finishing, we can craft our reclaimed wooden dresser tops for commercial spaces too, such as hotels and show rooms. We offer two main finishing options for you to choose from, either a clear lacquer that acts as a thick shield against damage and corrosion, or a water-based oil that penetrates the timber to create multiple layers of protection. Our oil protection also enhances the natural tones and colourings to create vivid shades of oranges and golds so if you seek to maintain the original earthy tones, our lacquer protection is for you.
We can also craft any of our other solid wooden reclaimed furniture alongside our reclaimed wooden dressers, such as out reclaimed wooden shelving, window seats and sills, desks and tables.
We estimate that each reclaimed wooden dresser will take around one month to complete, this is because our processed are unique and consuming. We do everything under one roof with no other third parties involved. Once your unique reclaimed wooden dresser top is finished, we will then arrange an appointment for either dedicated delivery, or collection from our workshop.
