Customer Requirements for Sustainable Rustic Oak Worktops
We recently had the pleasure of contributing to a large eco-conscious house renovation by crafting custom oak worktops for their kitchen. The homeowners, dedicated to sustainability, were repurposing second-hand oak modular cabinets for their kitchen units and sought a beautiful, environmentally-friendly worktops.
Earthy Timber manufactured matching set of rustic oak worktops that perfectly aligned with the customer’s vision of using sustainable materials. The island worktop, designed to be the focal point of the room, was crafted in a way that minimized joins to maintain a seamless and clean appearance, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Eco-Friendly Wood Countertops from Salavaged Tree
The result is an eco-friendly kitchen island oak countertop and set of matching oak worktops that not only complement the repurposed cabinets but also serves as the first striking feature upon entering the home. This project exemplifies our commitment to sustainable craftsmanship and our ability to bring our customers’ visions to life.
How Wooden Worktops Are Made by Earthy Timber
Wooden worktops crafted by Earthy Timber are meticulously made to order from salvaged wood, ensuring sustainability and uniqueness in each piece. The wood is carefully vacuum kiln dried in-house, a process that enhances its stability and makes it ideally suited for internal use in moisture-prone environments such as kitchens and bathrooms. This precise drying method reduces the wood’s moisture content, preventing warping and ensuring durability, thereby providing a perfect blend of beauty and functionality for demanding spaces.
