In October 2020, Julie and Peter from Haywards Heath, West Sussex commissioned Earthy Timber, led by the talented artist A.S. Stawicki, to create a bespoke dining table and matching oak bench. The project aimed to produce a functional and aesthetically pleasing centerpiece for their home, showcasing the natural beauty of salvaged oak wood and the innovative use of resin.

Dining Table and Bench Design

The bespoke dining table and bench, designed specifically for Julie and Peter:

• Dimensions: The dining table measured 1900mm x 820mm, providing ample space for dining and gatherings.
• Material: Constructed from salvaged oak wood, the pieces featured a beautifully pronounced grain that highlighted the natural characteristics of the wood.
• Resin Features: The table and bench were enhanced with a unique resin feature, seamlessly integrated to complement the wood. This resin detail was designed to appear natural, avoiding the artificial look often seen in badly-produced alternatives.
• Salvaged Wood: The oak planks used in the table and bench was responsibly sourced from salvaged tree, adding an element of sustainability and history to the pieces.
• Kiln Dried: The wood was meticulously kiln-dried in-house by Earthy Timber to ensure stability and durability, preserving the wood’s integrity and enhancing its natural beauty.
