Design & Aesthetic

Contemporary minimalism meets raw beauty.

The pronounced grain of English walnut weaves across the junction of two solid wood slabs, creating a natural symmetry that highlights the authentic character of the timber.

At the centre, a river joint follows the organic contours of the slabs, forming a continuous seam that mirrors the outer live edges.

Handcrafted walnut inserts are precisely fitted into the seam, becoming subtle, islet-like features that add depth and visual interest.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Vacuum kiln-dried English walnut chosen for its character.

The solid walnut used for this piece was hand-picked for its earthy knots, vibrant grain and natural voids. Preserved to retain these features, each slab forms a one-of-a-kind composition that defines the finished bar table.

To ensure long-term resistance against cracks and splits, the English walnut slabs underwent an in-house vacuum kiln-drying process. Moisture was precisely removed from deep within the wood, achieving an optimal balance between flexibility and strength.

As part of our bespoke wood finishing service, the walnut tabletop was sealed in a durable, waterproof finish with a refined matt appearance – providing lasting protection against spills and stains.
