Handcrafted Salvaged Walnut River Coffee Table for a Garden Studio

Two character-rich slabs of salvaged English walnut are united by a sculpted resin river, following their natural contours at the joint. The river weaves and bends as it threads through the centre of the coffee table, reflecting the fluid lines of the outer live edges. Designed for a light-filled garden studio, the salvaged walnut river coffee table balances rustic, organic form with a modern, clean silhouette.

Beneath, a set of rugged, matt black powder-coated steel legs introduces a faint industrial contrast to the rustic warmth of the solid walnut.

Natural knots and voids are skilfully preserved and accentuated with dark resin, mirroring the central river and encapsulating the raw beauty of the river coffee table.

Engineered Precision

The walnut was expertly vacuum kiln-dried to achieve a perfect balance of rigidity and elasticity. This process removes excess moisture from the wood with meticulous precision, maximising internal stability and minimising the risk of warping and splitting over time. The result is a structurally sound walnut coffee table that retains its timeless, raw character.
